The planet Floradora, featured in The Stainless Steel Rat Returns, is inhabited by two different societies; the peace-loving and pastoral Nature and Love people, who live a simple agricultural life, and the warlike Vengfulers, who worship at the Church of the Wrathful God and live in paranoid reclusion in walled cities. Jim, along with Angelina, his cousin Elmo and a contingent of porcuswine hearders and their herd, encounter these cultures when their sabotaged ship is forced to land in order to make communications with League starships.
